Washington jobs are getting more plentiful. The current unemployment rate is 4.7%, the same as the national average, but this is down from 5.6% a year ago.

The current economic growth is 4.4%, which puts Washington at number 23 out of 50 states. The ten year population growth stands at a lively 21.1%.

The rapidly declining unemployment rate indicates the job market is finally turning around after several years of stagnation. The technology sector is driving much of the job growth, fueled by Microsoft's aggressive plans for adding employees over the next few years.
